This spring type penetrometer is used in fields when controlling soil compaction and conform with ASTM D 1558. Direct reading in kg on sliding rod. The borer is to be forced into the soil for 7.62cm, during 6 seconds. The apparatus is supplied with seven requested needles, tools for its use. Needle size 1, 3/4, 1/2, 1/3, 1/5, 1/10, 1/20, 1/30 dan 1/40 inch2 area (645, 484, 323, 215, 129, 65, 32, 21.5 dan 16 mm2). Complete with wooden carrying case.
