This oven is designed to determine the loss in weight of bitumen, and the effect of heat + air on asphaltic material. The unit is heavily insulated, with double door and inner chamber in stainless steel. The temperature can be controlled up to 200°C, ±1°C by a digital thermostat. The rotating platform accepts up to 9 standard penetration cups for loss on heating test. The platform rotates at 5 – 6 rpm by means of an external motor. The oven is supplied complete with 9 brass cup, 55 mm dia x 35 mm, and thermometer 155°C to 170°C, with 0.05°C div.
