DETERMINATION OF MODULUS ELASTICITY (COMPRESSOMETER)
ASTM C 469
This device is used to determine the strain and deformation characteristics of concrete specimen. It comprises two steel rings for clamping to the specimen, two gauge length bars, dial gauge and spherically seated lever unit. The unit is clamped to the specimen by means of screws fitted on the upper and lower rings. When the unit is attached to the specimen the gauge length bars are removed and the dial gauge set to zero ready for the test.
